Faithful Women Carry A Lot
Often carrying far more than they are meant to. Many women learn, often unintentionally, that faith means walking alone and holding it together so no one sees that faith can be hard.
When we operate in this frame:
Questions are softened or ignored.
Disappointments are minimized.
Pain is carried quietly for fear of “doing faith wrong.”
Often, well-meaning church friends and pastors will assume the scope of our strength, praise quiet endurance, and shy away from questions that go “too deep". In the midst of navigating our challenges, we can begin to feel that there is no outlet for discussion or practical application of Scripture that meets our specific needs. Hope begins to feel shallow, and Scripture more like coffee mug encouragement rather than a weapon against spiritual warfare. Before we know it, what remains inside us becomes a heavy weight that drags our faith backwards into questioning.
